Growth hormone axis
Ipamorelin
Also known as: NNC 26-0161, Pentapeptid, Selektiver Ghrelin-Mimetikum
A synthetic pentapeptide and one of the most selective growth hormone secretagogues known. In animal studies, ipamorelin stimulated growth hormone release without notable effects on cortisol, prolactin or ACTH.

Mechanism of action
Ipamorelin is a selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a) in the pituitary. It mimics ghrelin in releasing growth hormone without the side effects typical of older GHRPs.
