What is SLU-PP-332?

A potent, selective agonist of the oestrogen-related receptors ERRα and ERRγ, studied as an "exercise mimetic" in endurance and metabolism research.

SLU-PP-332 activates ERRα and ERRγ, nuclear receptors that govern oxidative metabolism and muscle fibre type. In animal models this raises the expression of genes for mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty acid oxidation.
